There is a new show on the TLC called Extreme Couponing. The word extreme is almost an understatement after I caught one of the first episodes. There was a man who walked into a grocery store with a binder full of coupons – and exited the store with five shopping carts full of groceries and supplies. Everything in those grocery carts cost $5,400.00 – he spent $100!

He literally spent hours upon hours collecting coupons and openly admitted it’s something he enjoys doing. Me on the other hand – not so much. I like things simple, quick, easy – however you want to put it. I’m not going to spend 3 hours at a time getting newspapers and cutting out coupons. Just takes up too much time in my busy day.

It seems like just yesterday when we were all taking our rolls of film to your local photo shop to get your film developed – now film is officially becoming a dead technology. Everything is digital in this day and age – it really is amazing how times have changed. Now, instead of having to load the kids into the car to drop off your film, you can literally pop your memory card into your computer and get your orders completed by a few clicks of the mouse.

  4. Shuffle through them at checkout.

If you are an efficient coupon-er you more than likely are able to handle this process with ease – but for the vast majority of us it’s a pain. And with the limited amount of time most people have in their day doing this process also takes way too much time. (more…)
